The problem is that there’s simply not enough capture. So much empty space that could be marked. As soon as we see mocap not needing the big suit, perhaps something…markable. Like dots you could draw on.

Motion Capture will …
Motion Capture will never supstitute real animation. All it does is mimic reality (and so far poorly). It doesn’t take acting further or hold it back appropriate to the core of what’s being said and felt.
You’d be suprised how much work goes into “cleaning up” mo-cap for games and films to make it understandable and appealing.
