I have animated avatars that I’ve saved in "my pictures". How can I place that avatar in a Yahoo letter?

I’ve tried to copy and paste and it doesn’t work. When I do that it goes completely out of the body of the letter to somewhere else. I never had a problem doing this with AOL but with Yahoo I just can’t figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
