create an avatar in photo editor, or use online avatar makers,

open paint or other program create canvas 50 pixels x 50 pixels, zoom in and paint image, or if you have image paste into square, and or resize,
if you wanted animated, use animation gif maker, or create set and import or paste into gif program,

Does it bother you or dissuade you from using an icon when it is stamped with a website url, assuming it doesn’t interfere with the image itself and a 50×50 unstamped icon is provided for use in places where text is not allowed on avatars? I create icons and avatars to offer on my website, and want to know how to encourage people to use them while dissuading dishonest people from simply taking them and posting them to their own web-sites.
What does createblog.com have to do with me stamping my icons?

Doesn’t bother me at all. Of course I won’t steal your work either. It would probably bother people who are trying to steal artwork. Those are the only people I hear complaints from.

I see people with well animated avatars, but every time I try to make a gif, even really short, I need slow fps and low detail for it to be under 50kb!

How do you get such good quality avatars and stuff?
I made one but what I need to shrink it to 50×50?? how bad would that picture be, because atm its like 150×150.

Make the picture however you want it to be and then put it on your 360 page and then use it for your avatar and it will shrink it down for you.

webcam pics are always blurry and grainy with crappy color.
1. take a picture with the highest resolution and save it.
2. and then shrink the picture down to 50 pixels by clicking: image > image size. Also lower resolution to 72. Save it as jpeg

if you don’t like the color, adjust it prior to shrinking it
