how do i do that?

you need to clean you harddrive out your computer has a virus. ikno because that happened to me last week. when you clean it out it lets you see them again

I’d like to make a banner and an avatar, but I am absolutely clueless…and paint doesn’t seem all that good so I was wondering if there were good sites for that. Could someone post a link/site, please? Thank You!=)

Like music ones and sports but im looking for everything

Some are animated, and some are just little pictures with tiny writing on them.
Do you have to have photoshop or a special editor?
how do you make them?
sometimes people put them for decoration on their myspace pages, just to clear up some confusion about what they are.

If you talk about a Windows icon, yes, you need an image editor. Icons are computer graphics after all. This is no space to make "tv adds", but you can find one really good, shareware known as microangelo.

The avatars you see on yahoo or msn, are made with their own making tool, just look for a link within the website.

Ok, well firstly you need to be proficient with the tools in The GIMP. The way they have done this, is they have layered a gradient, stars, a figure, light effects, and a strip of text, altered the colours and stuff–and this has all been done probably at a resolution of 500×500 or even bigger perhaps, then resized down to 100×100 (because you easy to get more quality in in 500×500 and resizing down than from just working in 100×100) and done a two-pixel border around the square fo the final touch: the inner pixel being white, and the outer being a desaturated pink.
