hey i am McKenzie i been trying to put my avatare on my yahoo anser but it seem’s that i can not do it and yes i have been trying to but it will not wrok. Ifyou know how please let me know ThankYou if you do let me know how?

Go to ‘Your Profile’ by clicking the link on the right side or by clicking your name. Then click ‘Edit My Info’. If you go down a bit you will see ‘Picture’ and just click ‘Use My Yahoo! Avatar.’ Afterwards go all the way to the bottom and click ‘preview’ and then click ‘Ok’ and that should work.

Hey, does anyone know if there are good websites for making banners and icons/avatars? Could you post a link?

Right now I am just a gray face. I created the avatar, but can’t find how to make it show up.

AFTER you’ve made and SAVED your avatar
>>you must go to your profile page. (click on your nickname to get there).
>>click "edit my info". (to the right of your gray face)

You can have two types of avatars on Yahoo Answers: a Yahoo cartoon avatar and a Yahoo profile avatar. The cartoon avatar is like the one I have, and the Profile image is an image you can upload yourself to use as your Yahoo Answers avatar.

Why do people with white avatars get to post obscene questions that don’t get deleted?

I’ve read SO MANY ridiculous/absurd/obscene questions posted by people with white avatars. The funny thing is that most of them don’t get deleted. 8/10 of the obscene questions I post get deleted-QUICK.
What’s underneath it all? REALLY.

You’re severely over thinking. I’ve seen more obscene questions asked by people with white avatars than black so it makes sense for it to seem as though less of them get deleted when in reality it’s about the same number.

I had asked this question before but did not get satisfactory answer. Please tell me proper steps

It’s easy enough to make.

I made it using a graphics program called Photoshop 7.

Here’s how;

1) Get a picture of a player (I used one of Sachin Tendulkar) and crop the image to your liking so that it’s equal (or almost equal) in height and width.
2) Resize it to how you want (but if it’s an ordinary avatar the it’s usually 100X100 pixals).
3) Do something called an Unsharp mask (settings 60, 4.0, 7) on the picture to bring out the features of your subject.
4) Next you need a Levels layer (settings RGB Input Levels; 0, 1.83, 255. Red, Green and Blue Input Levels 0, 1.00, 254). This will make the picture look very pale and washed out but don’t worry it will be fixed later on.
5) Do a Curves layer using the RGB colours. For the first part of this you should use the settings; Input; 79 Output; 0 (to create a line going along the bottom). Next you need to drag the curve so that it ends up in the middle of the box (use the settings Input; 128 Output 128 for this bit). 6) The Selective Colour Layer. Use these settings;
Reds; -50, 0, 0, 0
Yellows; 0, 0, +50, 0
Greens; +100, -100, +100, 0
Cyans; +100, -100, -100, +100
Blues; +100, 0, -100, +100
Magentas; -50, +100, 0, 0
Whites; 0, 0, 0, 0
Neutrals; +30, 0, +30, 0
Blacks; 0, 0, 0, 0
7) Another Curves layer. This time you need to mess around with the other colour channels as well as the RGB.
RGB Settings; Input 30, Output 0 to create a line. Next do another curve but a little higher than the first one (in your other curves layer), the settings here are Input 123, Output 156. It should look like this; http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/zz328/Myaccount_2010/RGB2.jpg

Lastly the Blue Settings. The bottom of the line should be lifted up slightly (Input 0, Ouput 20) and the top of the line should be dragged down slightly (Input 255, Output 228). It should look like this; http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/zz328/Myaccount_2010/Blue.jpg
Thats pretty much it. You can add some Text to the image like I did. You can also sharpen a few stand out things in the picture to add focus (I sharpened the lenses of his glasses) or add a light Texture etc.
